How LAN SUITE 2002 Works
| T1, Cablemodem, DSL or ISDN |
|
|
Using a T1, cablemodem, DSL or ISDN to connect to the Internet will give high-speed
connectivity to the network. Since the modem will not be used to establish the Internet connection
it will be free to send faxes. Received faxes can be directed to the printer or to an e-mail account.
Using only one phone line and one modem, Internet and fax services can be provided
to the network. As shown in the image above two modems and two phone lines are optimal for use with
602Pro LAN SUITE. If only one modem is used, setup the included connection manager to configure
how the modem will be used. Since the modem will be used to establish the Internet connection it
will only be able to send faxes when not connected to the Internet. Received faxes can be directed
to the printer or to an e-mail account.
